Zoomox.com is a location specific web community. Here you can interact with friends, find a soul mate, search classified ads and find location relevant information for any place on the planet. Just zoom from map to map. When you arrive at the location you desire, click on Dating, Friends, or Classifieds to search listings for the location you have chosen.
Zoomox works in levels. Simply click on the Classifieds, Dating, or Friends tabs at any map level to see the listings or profiles for that location. Zoom from map level to map level to either expand or narrow your results. Each successive higher level contains the combined results of the previous lower levels, e.g. Florida contains the results of all the cities and counties in Florida.

Zoomox intends to be the source for local community information. Our goal is to provide useful location specific content for every populated place on earth and present it in a fun user friendly form. A city information section with a community forum and photo gallery is in development and will feature content that is uploaded and controlled by the users. A travel section is also coming soon so stay tuned. This is just the beginning!
Zoomox was created by Robert Vadeika and Neil Collette in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA. The owners wanted to build a website that provided free location specific content for every community in the world no matter how large or small. Megasites have focused on large cities located primarily in the USA. They have also overlooked millions of potential users around the world and have ignored smaller locations where people want their own communities included. Zoomox has a page for ALL populated places on the planet which is something even the multibillion dollar internet site giants can’t claim. In order to provide this community info for free, the site creators decided to allow one person or business to “own” (sponsor) their community’s page by buying that location for one year. 1- We just liked it.
2- It was late at night when we chose it.
3- It uses the word ‘zoom’ because the site does zoom after all.
4- An ox is strong, steady and consistent like the growth and functionality of this site.
5- It has a ‘z’ and an ‘x’ in the name. Who doesn’t like ‘z’ and ‘x’?
6- It is a new word. We always wanted to create a new word.
7- It can’t be misspelled unless you make an effort to misspell it.
8- It is memorable. Look at it… Zoomox.com. Just try to forget it. Go on, try. Can’t forget it? Sorry, your brain has just been permanently etched. Now please visit often.
All areas of the site are completely free for users. Purchase of a location is in no way required to enjoy all of the site features.
Creating one username and password will allow you to access all site areas. Log in once and you are logged into all areas of the site.
Not all cities and towns are displayed on the maps, but all should be selectable from the filter box beside the maps. With approximately 2.25 million locations, our database may not be perfect and we are working continuously to make corrections. If your location is not available, please bring it to our attention by emailing us at support@zoomox.com.

MyZoomox is an area where registered members can manage their usernames and passwords or activate / deactivate their dating profiles. Members who own locations on Zoomox can also manage their locations in their MyZoomox area.
This indicates what locations are available for sale or already sold on Zoomox. Every location can only be sold once per year. Location owners can display their favorite website on Zoomox at the city level or have their pages pop out from a link at other levels. A red ball next to the location's name indicates the location is sold and a green ball indicates the location is for sale.
Once you select a username you cannot change it. If you made an error on your username at registration you must delete your profile and re-register. CAUTION: DO NOT DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED A LOCATION. Your information will be deleted forever and you will not be informed for renewal. If you have not purchased a location and want to delete your account, visit the MyZoomox area and click on Edit My Account. Directly under the Account Settings heading you will see a link [Cancel Account]. Warning: If you wish to re-register, you must use a different email address than the one you used the first time you registered.

How can I buy a location?
Create a Zoomox username and password. Zoom to the location you would like to buy and select the “Buy this City” button at the city level or at other levels select the “For Sale” link. From there you will be given checkout instructions.
There are likely a million reasons to buy a location on Zoomox. Some of the main reasons are:
1- You associate yourself or business with a popular online community of dedicated members who may see your page repeatedly. Advertising is most effective by repetitive exposure.
2- You expose your page or link to a geographically targeted audience who has a specific reason to visit your location.
3- You create a valuable high quality inbound link to your website. Inbound links are one of the most important things you can do for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Use our simple free WYSIWYG editor to create a page surrounding your link with relevant content.
4- There can only be one owner per location. Once your location is gone…it is gone for at least a year if not longer. If the existing owner renews his ownership each year then the location may potentially never become available again.
5- Your webpage will be displayed for one year at the city map level OR your link displayed for one year at other levels. At the minimum, your site link will be displayed to every user who visits the location you have purchased.
6- Zero costs per click. One low fee displays your page or link for one year.

Locations are sold for a period of one year.
Yes. You purchase a location for a period of one year. As a location owner you will receive an email 30 days before your contract expires and you will be given the option to renew. Renewals are completed in your MyZoomox area. If your location ownership contract expires, the location is immediately (no grace period) placed back up for sale on Zoomox.
Can I have my location contract automatically renewed?
No, not at this time. We do not store your credit card information. You must renew your contract by visiting your MyZoomox page.
Maybe, maybe not. The price could be more, the price could be less. The pricing for the second year will be based on a yet to be determined page view formula. However, our location owners are the heart or our business. It is in our best interests to make sure you are receiving a great value for your money. We want you to be happy and buy even more locations.
No. You only have to enter the url of the website you want to display.
As soon as your credit card is approved you will be able to enter your MyZoomox area and key in the URL you want to have displayed by clicking on the ‘Manage my locations’ link. It may take a few minutes for our servers to update your information and you may have to clear your browser’s history to see the changes live on the website.
Yes, but not for 60 days. Due to credit card fraud you may not be able to transfer your location until your transaction is completely clear. Zoomox.com does not get involved in any location sale or transfer. At the present time we do not have a system in place to transfer ownership. Renewal reminders will be sent to the email of record. If you intend to sell your location, we recommend setting up a username and password under an email address that you do not use so you can give that information to the new location owner. Ebay is a good place to sell your location, but be sure to put the full web address in your ad along with the location name so there is no mistake about which location your customer is buying, e.g. http://www.zoomox.com/citypage.php?cityid=4330603 which is Kingsport, Tennessee, USA. Again, this would be a private person to person transaction not involving Zoomox.com in any way.
Only one, i.e. we do not sell two Las Vegas'. Once the location is gone...it's gone.
Consider buying adjacent locations or locations at higher/lower map levels. Check the page regularly to see if the location goes on sale again. Locations that are set to renew in 30 days or less are marked by yellow dots on the map.
No. You can upload your favorite site link, social networking page, or create a free site from a provider such a Geocities. You must check the Terms of Service of the site you want to display to make sure you are not violating any of their conditions. You may also create your page with our easy to use free WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
Yes. You can change your link or website at any time as often as you like.
Yes, but the content must comply with our Terms of Service and you must comply with the Terms of Service of the website you wish to display.
This is a family friendly website. Will will terminate, at our sole discretion, the Zoomox.com account of anyone who uses marketing techniques that...
- use a "frame buster" to remove the Zoomox website frame maintained at the top of the Zoomox web page
- are pornographic or of an adult nature
- depict nudity
- promote violence
- are hateful in any way
- are harassing or use spam in any way, shape, or form
- are libelous or defamatory
- are threatening or abusive
- are illegal or on the borderline
- violate copyrights or trademarks of others
- are in such poor taste that we do not want the association
- violate the Zoomox Terms of Service
In the event of account termination, NO refunds of any kind will be given.
No, we do not offer refunds of any kind. We believe our locations are fairly priced and offer a great value for business promotion or personal amusement.
